Growing up on a farm nestled in the lush green rolling hills of southeastern Iowa was where Barbara spent her youth. The Amish Mennonite community and a one-room country school she attended provided a stark contrast to the evolution of modern industry and lifestyles. The structure of quilts and agricultural patterns along with philosophical ideas permeated her youth.
Currently Barbara lives and works in Miami Beach, Florida.
